We are situated on the main route between Johannesburg and Durban(N11) on the border of KwaZulu-Natal. Our Guest farm is 1.5km from the business centre of Volksrust , 25km from Wakkerstroom,55 km from Newcastle and 30km from Majuba Power station.

The farm is ideal for relaxing and getting away from the city life, as well for the businessman to stop over. For the traveler Bridle Guest Farm is perfect for a sleep over on your route to KwaZulu Natal or Gauteng and the Free state.

You can join in with the farm activities involving our cattle, sheep and even learn to milk a cow or go for horse riding .From the lovely sunny stoep the scenery is rolling hills, and cloud topped mountains.

Come and enjoy breakfast in our dining room with its fire place. This building dated back to 1927 when it was the abattoir. Its renovated to a “Ye Olde World” with the original 3mhigh Oregan Pine doors.

Volksrust is also the gateway to the KwaZulu-Natal battlefields with the 1881 Battles of Schuinshoogte, Laingsnek and Majuba close by. The 1899 battlefields of Bothaspas and Allemansnek is also worth a visit.

The Majuba-mountain is on your way to The O”Neils cottage.

In Volksrust is also the Wall of Remembarance,the grave of Dirkie Uys and British Soldiers Memorial.
