Thornycroft Lodge is nestled in the heart of Horseshoe Valley, on a large country estate resting on the banks of the Nahoon River.

The surrounding hills and lush landscape cocoon you in a bubble of tranquility, separating you from the city of East London, which is only a 10 minute drive away. An ‘outdoor living’ approach, coupled with uncomplicated designs and natural tones, creates a relaxed atmosphere where you can really put your feet up, taking in the sounds of the valley.

Our spacious guest suites make maximum use of natural light, with large sliding doors opening onto the gardens. Each suite features a queen size bed, safe and clock radio, a separate living area with TV / DVD, overhead fan, fridge/mini-bar, complimentary tea/coffee station, and a private bathroom. The separate living area also features a sleeper couch, which can accommodate up to two children under 13 years. Suites are serviced daily and laundry and babysitting services are available.

Full breakfast, light lunches and three course dinners are served in the dining room.

Our spa offers massage treatments which are very popular. To experience absolute bliss, combine one of our massage treatments with a sauna or jacuzzi soak. The thatched poolside bar is the heart of the lodge and the ideal way to end the day. Enjoy a game of pool, darts or table tennis, or catch your favourite sport on the big screen. Relax in the hammock with a drink, or soak up the sun on a lilo in the pool.
