We invite you to come and experience The Wilderness Hotel, one of the Garden Route’s oldest and best-loved hotels, situated on the beautiful Southern Cape coastline of South Africa.

The 150-bedroom property boasts a beauty spa, two swimming pools, a bowling green, two tennis courts, a squash court as well as banqueting halls, for the perfect wedding reception, and conference rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 300 delegates in cinema-style.

Wilderness itself is a seaside town in the heart of the Garden Route, situated a short distance east of George, along the N2 at the bottom of the Kaaiman’s River Pass. It is known for its long white sandy beach and lagoons. The town experiences a mild climate with year-round rainfall and temperatures seldom drop below 10°C or rise above 28°C.

The Wilderness Hotel is about a 45-minute drive to both Mossel Bay (west) and Knysna (east), and a little less than an hour to Oudtshoorn, further inland, so it’s perfectly placed for tour groups and individuals who want a base from which to explore the region.
